    Cool Mirage 2017

Hi, I'm the only owner of a hatchback Mirage ES in Fort Saint John. I saw G4 , but it's different. In harsh Canadian winter I got stuck 2 times only, but I love my car - good mileage and roomy enough for some furniture. Good for travels - I spent only 120 $ CAD for 2500 km trip. Love it so far.

Fort Saint John is pretty far north. Do you have an engine block heater installed? What other equipment does your Mirage have?

I imagine you get to see the Aurora Borealis quite often. It's something I would like to see.

Yup, I have a block heater (my car makes a nasty noise if it\s not plugged in when it's -25 C outside) , regular Dunlop tires which are ok in snow and a few decals it's 1.2 l engine, and it was made in Thailand. I heard in the US mirage is made in Japan and quality is way better. My mechanic advised me to keep it 4 years and sell it before the warranty expires -- dont know, will see how it behaves. Yup, we have Northern Lights here, it's not like on the pictures. Lots of people want to see it here, but it happens only if you are lucky enough.
Thank you guys for welcoming me. You can ask any questions regarding exploitation in -30 C. I had 1 winter and now I'm experienced in it
Coming to 13000 km, this year will have 20000 km. Will post some more pics soon.

    Welcome.

All Mirages have been built in Thailand, even for the USA. Only recently have they also been built in Phillipines, none are built in Japan.

Oh, never new that. I saw some websites from the US that said about Japanese origin of Mirage. Good to know.

Well... previous versions (pre 2012) have been built elsewhere... just not the current version.

Welcome! I originally thought the same way your mechanic does. Figured the cheap Mirage would start having issues around 200000kms if not sooner. That doesn't seem to be the case.
