    Post Full tank vs. half tank (effect on fuel economy?)

    Has any one noticed this or is it just me? I get more km when I put only half a tank of petrol rather than a full tank.

    This doesn't make sense - how can one drive farther on half the amount of fuel?

    I must be misunderstanding this...

    if I fill up my tank I get 500 km, when I fill up half tank I get about 300km same driving style don't do anything differently.

    Most gas gauges I have ever paid attention to are not linear and poorly correlated to actual fuel in the tank until it gets close to empty.
