I recently bought 4 Bridgestone re92s p165-65r14s used on Craigslist for $60 total all of them in 50% or better treadlife. I've been running the 175-65s front and 165s rear and it's been a great combination.

In south africa we get the standard alloy mags but ours is 165 / 55 R15 thats factory on all 3 models i reasently upgraded to 195 / 50 R15 tyres and rims i got is 7j lenso project d.. And i must say i feel way less body roll the car sticks way more to the road no power of fuel changes i would recomend this to any one but (always a but) our lovely crappy rear suspention witch is so soft makes the rear tyre ttouch that little lip inside the arch... I need to upgrade to stifder springs and shocks or get that little lip rolled but it doesnt cut or damage the tyre just touches it on hard ditches
One day my blue eye girl will go stutututu

Pieter, you should see if you can get Airlift 1000 kit to keep the rear stiffer.

165 60R 14 must be a tire size that is more popular in non-US markets. If you search this tire size on the web, you immediately start getting European website results back. Tire Rack and Discount Tire don't carry this size, but I found some off-brand names in this size at places like Pep Boys.

One thing I wonder about is the weight of that tire. The eBay ad says it weighs 20 pounds?!? I wonder if that's correct. That's 50% heavier than an OEM Enasave (13 pounds). If that's true, I'm assuming it's not a Low Rolling Resistance tire.

It is no secret Mirage size cars and tyres are common in Europe, and that makes a big difference:
At around 60 000km, just bought a set of four CONTINENTAL summer tyres, the tyres with the best ratings in just about every test report. ContiEcoContact5 165/65R14T for €100.- (about US $114)

Why so cheap? They originally were OEM on a brand new Suzuki Celerio, Suzuki's very-similar-to-the-Mirage-model, but the buyer demanded all-weather tyres instead. The dealer taking them off sold them cheap as "demo"-tyres with practically nill mileage. They are just like brand new!

The old Bridgestone Ecopia OEM summer tyres still had more than 2.5mm tread all over, after about 45000km and were worn evenly, thanks to frequent rotation, max allowed pressure, and neutral front axle camber and toe-in. Btw the rear axle has -2° camber on one wheel, so much for the benefits of frequent rotation..
