I'm liking the CVT with the Ds option

If you drive it all the time on Ds, it feels kinda un-smooth since the engine is revved up way higher due to the gearing. However, what I do is that I use it as an instant smooth kick-down: When I need a little punch, or when I want to have some engine braking, slip it into Ds briefly for that rev kick, then take it back to D. Works fantastically like that.

It's great isn't it? Stuck behind some vapid texting loser who is going 50 mph in a 65 on a two lane highway... look ahead, nobody is there. Time to pass. Step on the clutch, pull it out of 5th, spin the engine up put it in 3rd... release, and open it up. Engine gets noisy, cam settles down past 4,500, and the little car really pulls.

Maybe the three cylinders of fury will make them drop the phone and pay attention.

I use it quite a bit on my '17 G4, especially on hills and when I need that extra get away!
