Okay before you guys misunderstand me...

Shocks control movement.

An overstiff compression will make your car skip on the road.
An overstiff rebound will "pack up"

An understiff compression will not control the movement
An understiff rebound will not control the movement

Your shock must match your spring which must match the load.

The mirage, when empty and stock, doesn't forever bounce. It doesn't pack up, and it doesnt skip on the road. Therefore, the shock matches the spring.

So I'm not sure what you guys expect to gain?

Of course if you modify things it requires different things but your first order of business isn't the shocks by any stretch

If you are so dead set on stiffer shocks the easiest and cheapest way would be to change the leverage the shock has on the suspension. This could be done extremely easily, by moving the lower mount backward. The top mount is meant to be able to take a slight offset by design.

Boom stiffer shocks for free.
