The Mirage Is Actually A Pretty Big Car...

I parked next to an old Datsun 240Z last week and discovered that compared to that, the Mirage is actually pretty big. After checking some measurements via Google, I dummied up this approximate comparison. While the 240z is just a bit longer, the Mirage is much taller and has a longer wheel base. The same comparison holds for the 1992 Miata, which my Mirage replaced.

That's pretty cool. wonder About width. Mirage is super narrow.
I also feel it's bigger than my old 1990 geo prizm. Much taller

On a side note. Jealous that you live in Tahoe. Awesome place.

It's pretty comparable to a 4 seater sxs Attachment 9933 Attachment 9934 But the Mitsubishi is about half the cost, gets better fuel mileage, has a higher top speed, and it comes with a heater.

That's painful to see. I'm getting one of these Mirages to belatedly replace a Metro, and I'm sorry to see that it is much larger. I loved, absolutely LOVED, the size of the Metro. I felt like a kid in a kiddie car driving the Metro, and I could go anywhere and fit anywhere in the Metro. What a pity ... .

Don't worry, it's still plenty small with a awesomely tight turning radius

I parked next to an early 90s Corolla and I couldn't believe how low it was compared to my Mirage! As small as the Mirage is by today's standards, it's significantly larger than subcompact hatchbacks of 20 plus years ago.
