    manual trans yes
what you said about the putting the engine speed sensor on the motor is a good idea, but when stopped in traffic it wont be spinning at all so the ecu might think the engine is off.
first and second gear will never be used, so when going under 20kph the motor might not be spinning fast enough for it to register :O
will be using 3rd and 4th or maybe 3rd and 5th depending on motor rpms and how it feels to drive.

I think it's a really cool project and I've been looking into it for a while. I want to one day electrify a classic car myself.

If you don't mind my asking, why the mirage?

Yes that is the issue at hand for sure... Fortunately i think you could probably just fool the comparator for the EPS like you suggested initially, and then run the tach using the motor.

Do you have an oscilloscope? Ide love too see a picture of the actual signal

    Schematics attached.

Lots of the CANBUS stuff is above my head but i see no reason if you can read the signal you can't make it work, right?

Show's what I know. I haven't seen that before, I've argued about it on other vehicles and was right but not this time! But I think we're both wrong, the reverse switch is on the transmission no neutral safety switch on a manual. "22B-10"
Eggman, the cvt has 3 speed sensors on it.

While I don't have a solid sense of scale based on the pictures, I'm going to offer some opinion on comparing these two pumps:

    1. One is DC and the other looks like it's AC (starting capacitor?)
    2. DC looks much smaller
    3. DC won't have the capacity in either volume or pressure to be of much help

More detail is needed for a better comparison between these two choices.

And this is for brakes, right?

The first one looks pretty expensive and doesn't come with a limit switch, the second one looks too cheap and probably too small.
This one has good reviews but may be overkill: https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...0152/overview/

ok so going to be putting this on the back burner for a while as other stuff has come up.
was planning on using the mirage gearbox BUT would like to know what would be involved in making the mirage rear wheel drive?
have heard something about using evo parts but google says need to do a lot of cutting and welding that sounds like it wouldnt pass inspection
