    Radiator protection?

Yesterday a passing truck kicked up some gravel that found its way into the radiator and punctured it. Has anyone installed a cover over the grill to keep the garbage out?

I was hoping to find an inexpensive, easy to install tight meshed screen somewhere.

    Any insights welcome.

Sounds like a grill block would work for you.

Funny you should mention that. I'm about to go that route. Since the temps started dropping here, I've noticed that my car is often at or below 190 degrees. I think I can do a full grill block and not have to worry about high engine temps...especially in the winter.

Full grill block for 20 minutes drive?

Had the same problem with a couple cars over the years. Got punctured right where the condenser doesn't cover the rad. Even a piece of cardboard would probably help. I might try that this winter if I get extra time.
