    Question Blower motor design question

    Hello all,

    What is the weird arm thing that is part of the bottom of the blower motor? heres a photo: Name:  2312011-1__ra_p.jpg

    I think its a vibration dampener but im unsure?


    Also what's the torque specs on the 3 bolts that hold the fan in place? ive looked at the FSM but was unable to find it.

    I'd just go until it grabs, I can't find anything either, I wondered about the bottom bit too, I concluded it was a vent for the motor so that it doesn't overheat.

    It's a vent. Older motors often had a rubber tube going from the motor housing to the heater box.
    Tighten the screws until they're snug. No retard strength needed.
