Anyone added Factory or Aftermarket Heated front Seats to a Mirage not Equipped?

I am interested in the SE hatch, which unlike the CVT equipped G4, does not come with or have heated seats optional.

The dealers seem to have a 3rd party in some cases install it, or their own service dept.

    Anyone had them added?

Might it be more affordable to order the factory parts, then have a 3rd party install them after buying the car?

The dealer that has a 3rd party do the work quoted $150-200 a seat. The dealer that puts in the factory parts charges $699 for both. But they get it done.

Is there a source for the original parts?

    Inuvik?

Hmm.. I do miss my heated seats. I installed heated outside mirrors and might need to tackle this too.

I have the Rostra kit in mine and they work great!

I put one of the aliexpress specials under my seat cover. $10, plugs into cigarette lighter and heat in a minute or 2.

Basically those. Here is the one I have. It doesn't look great, but since I have seat covers I just slipped it under there and it works fine. I was considering trying the Tech Era kit that Doax linked to, but I'm not confident fiddling around near the airbag/sensors, or in my ability to do it without making the upholstery look like crap afterwards.

For $13.50? How can I really go wrong? I ordered it. Thanks! Regardless of if I get a Mirage or not, all the cars in my range do not come with heated seats. So this will come in handy. Now, would it need an adapter if you wanted to run 2 seats instead of just 1?

No problem, I figured the same thing. I never had heated seats before, and this was probably the best $10 I've spent on this car haha. Hopefully they hold up.

Yes, if you plan to run both seats off of the cigarette lighter you'll need a splitter. Power won't be a problem, with both on the high setting you should still be under 10 amps, and the socket is fused for 15.

I've done them on other cars. The aftermarket kits aren't that difficult to install. A kit off amazon costs about $50. $150-$200 a seat sounds like a good deal if I was going to pay someone to do it.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100
