Thread: Mitsubishi Mirage monthly sales, US & Canada, 2013-2023 (projected 7000/yr for U.S.)

Unfortunately, it's going to take more than a few months of good results for the negative comments to stop.

Already past the halfway point, 3 months in. I'd say so!

    Spark sales took off too

Wow - GM sold more Sparks in the U.S. last month than any other month: 5117! Updated in the table in post #1.

I wonder how much this is all due to rising U.S. gas prices. They've been heading upward for the past month or 2 after touching 2 year lows.

After all the GM recalls on cars and trucks, I can't quite trust the Spark... Not to mention seeing problems with a cylinder or two messing up...

    Canada: average month for Mirage

Updated post #1 with Canadian sales: 233 for March. Close to average.

    http://www.mitsubishi-motors-pr.ca/e...?mediaid=14395

Starting this month the Canadian competition heats up: Nissan's Micra goes on sale here. Its fuel economy won't be close to either the Spark or Mirage, but it undercuts both of them big time on price (starting at $10k for the 5MT, $2.5k less than the base Mirage). And it will probably be pretty fun to drive (power:weight ,twin stabilizer bars, 185 width tires).

    ---

Update: Canada Spark sales for March: 172. Mirage pulls further ahead of the littlest Chevy so far this year.

The number of 8996 (including 1499 Mirages) units sold just made my day

    Thanks for the update!

My pleasure. I was surprised you didn't beat me to it! It's great to see the car doing so much better than the company's modest predictions.

The Chevy Spark? Come on. A GM product of any degree? I liked GM during the 1960's. More than a lot. But not anymore. A Mitsubishi is gonna treat you a lot better. I took my '08 Lancer GTS in for Toyo tires and a computerized wheel alignment yesterday and now all she needs is a bath. And I need to wash and put protectant on her interior. Still a beautiful car at 122,139 miles. And counting. The engine/tranny are running like new. I tell you, Mitsubishi is pretty special in the powertrain department. I remain pretty interested in the Mitsubishi Mirage as well.
