    Onboard fuel calculator

I have a Canadian spec Mirage.

I changed my fuel use readout from L/100Km to MPG.

So, it is now displaying Imperial or American MPG?

It's easy to assume it's reading in Imperial as the car was sold in Canada where both Metric and Imperial are allowed measures to use in trade.

But.....it's likely the exact same car is shipped to the US (maybe a CA model is different, IDK.) so Americans would expect the MPG readout to be in US terms.

I asked around when I first got my 2014 Mirage and nobody seemed to know. I suppose I could just drive it a figure it out after a couple of tanks of gas but I'd like to avoid the hassle. If I can't find out I'll just switch back to L/100km.

It was a little fiddly. The manual describes it on page 5:69-70

1.When you lightly press the multi-information display switch a few times, the information display switches to the average
fuel consumption display. Refer to “Information display” on page 5-63.
    2. Press and hold the multi-information display switch for about 5 seconds or more until buzzer sound is heard twice.
    3. Press and hold the multi-information display switch to switch in sequence from “km/L”  “L/100 km”  “mpg”  “km/L”

It changes the range to match the units but not the odometer/trip components. They remain whatever units your car was sold at.

It's a great feature. Another plus for Mits. I haven't found this on other cars, maybe they have it, IDK.

I'm willing to bet when you switch from l/100km it goes to US MPG not imperial. The dodge's I've owned let you switch by just pressing the metric/standard button on the roof mounted overly optimistic fuel economy lyometer. You should be able to figure it out by comparing the 2 readings on your car though.
