    What's your winter beater?

I'm a little surprised to say my Mirage, one of the cheapest cars out there is my coveted car. I want to get 15 years out of my Mirage

Easy peasy I think if it isn't exposed to winter salt and crap.

My winter beater is a 2006 Saturn Vue. Big, heavy, thirsty POS. I bought it on impulse. Big Mistake.

    What's yours?

I used to have a 1990 prizm but it rusted to the point I had to scrap it. Too bad because the engine and trans were great at only 128k

Now I have my mirage and a 16 Tundra so I guess it's the mirage lol

My winter car right now is a 2004 Honda Civic DX. I picked it up for $1k and put about $800 into it. With 118k on it, it now runs like a dream. Will be selling it early next year (hopefully) for just under $3k.

I go through a fair number of cars. I think its fun to try something new. Since I repair them, I usually get fixer uppers and make a buck when I sell them.

The Mirage is my every day driver all year. I do have a 99 Saab 9-3 Turbo hiding in the garage.
