This won't happen for ramps or bumps. Imagine that when the axle approaches a ramp or bump, the wheels will travel over it and the anti-sway bar, being bolted to the axle at the spring seat, will in turn follow and clear the ramp or bump. It will become a problem for irregular-shaped obstacles and road hazards - possibly for chuckholes...

Eggman is correct, its very unlikely to hit anything. It will travel up and down with the wheel which its pretty close to. However, whenever I do remove it, I will most likely add a horizontal cut to it parallel to the ground to clean it up. If I would ever have a batch made, this would be done as would a few more things to make it more visually appealing and polished.

The angle can not be flipped up due to not being wide enough to get out and around the spring perch. Even if it did, the mounting points would be really overhung and the load distribution would not be ideal at all.

Here is what I have drawn up in solidworks should I decide to get quotes on having them made. As you can see, its much prettier and basically has zero compromises on ground clearance and strength vs my prototype.

I filled up the fuel tank for the 3rd time now in the Mirage. Looks like I'm averaging about one fill per month. Yeah, I don't drive a ton. This was the best one yet at 44 mpg. Probably mostly due to warmer weather. Not bad for the coldest month of the year!

Filled up again yesterday. It wasn't the best tank at 42 mpg, but still not too bad.

I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather. This will not only get me better mileage, but also motivate me to do some more modding which will be fun and help out mileage and driving enjoyment.

Today I 3d printed a mount for my scangauge. I was tired of it blocking the MFD. Once I almost ran out of gas without knowing it.

Tonight was a quick and easy 'mod'. One of my running lights was out on the Mirage. I had bought a case of 194 LEDs off amazon a while back for my Honda Insight which had multiple dash lights out and that is what it uses. I think these are the ones I used. My pack is a 20 pack though and is no longer offered it seems. We will see how long they last!

Here is the working side. All yellowish and OEM.

Here is the new LED installed. Kinda bluish.

I also tested things quick and found out these lights stay on with the headlights which I found interesting. So, I went ahead and replaced both of them along with the side marker lights. Might as well...

Woohoo, I got my first tank over 50 mpg this week. I now have a consistent 14 mile commute vs ~5 mile trips around town that don't even really let the engine get up to temperature. That really helps out. Just missed 400 miles on one tank though at 399.1 miles! Next time.
