    WOW!

That's huge. So what exactly did the service manager tell you about the problem?

I'm waiting for my thermos from Amazon. Princess Auto did not have anything suitable in stock. They should be here this week or next.

Service manager told me someone added the wrong coolant to the system and had proof because someone installed a block heater. (?)

I'd ask for the service manager or the "tech" to put that in writing for you. Having proof of dealership retardation might come in handy down the road if they ever give you a hard time about anything(else).

I don't know how I missed this when you first posted it.

Your Service Advisor is certainly not helping build your confidence level...lol. Sounds like they're going to throw new parts at it to make you happy. That's not a bad thing IF it fixes the problem.

If a new heater core doesn't change your dash temperatures, then this may simply be a "feature" of the Mirage's heater.

I see my mistake now - why the confusion.

...I did test drive a new 2017 Mirage while I was waiting. The dash temps were the same as previously reported...

The dash temps I recorded on the new 2017 were the same as those previously reported on a newer Mirage - not in my Mirage.

    Sorry about that.

I do expect the new heater core to fix the problem, restore it back to the way it was when I bought it. I may be expecting too much based on the 'dealership retardation' - Haha I like that.

It's a safety hazard if the heater can't keep the windshield clear of ice and fog.

Well...here's the deal. I'm sitting by my keyboard waiting for your results!

If you get your car back and there's a huge improvement, then I'll be calling to get my appointment asap. If it's a real problem and I don't get mine corrected now, I may be out of bumper-to-bumper warranty by next winter. This condition will be really hard (or impossible) to duplicate in the middle of the summer.

Monday night brother. I'm dropping off Monday morning and they said it will take all day.
