Canada: 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage: Are Your Eyes Deceiving You? (guideautoweb.com)
Writer Alain Morin liked the Mirage. Actually, he "really liked it!"
Funny guy too: while describing his subjective take on the interior (bland), he says, "But it’s a matter of taste, and there’s a distinct possibility that I have none."
It's generally another positive Canadian review.
Strong points:
- pleasing, if conservative, styling
- roomy, comfortable enough (even the rear)
- rear visibility better than many competitors
- "excellent", sophisticated CVT
- very tight turning circle
- pleasing manual gearbox: good shift quality
Weak points:
- ho hum interior design
- test drive didn't convince that fuel economy is very good [that's a first from all the Canada/US reviews so far]
- high liftover to hatchback, small hatch opening
- modest (but acceptable) performance
Overall:
Overall, the Mirage is a very good sub-compact. [...] It compares favourably to similar cars. [...] I really liked it!
