It might be worth asking the dealer if they would be willing to price match.

On the other hand, discounted service has it's drawbacks. It seems to me that paying the full price sometimes (not always) results in full service - handy if something goes wrong.

    Have you checked salvage yards?

Yes, the pilot bearing is the bearing that slides into the end of the crankshaft or the flywheel (some cars) where the tip of the input shaft goes. Look up "Geo Metro Clutch Kit" and you will see pictures of the parts included with the Mirage kit plus that extra little bearing. I have always replaced this as well on the Metro when I do a clutch.

I figure I have a lot of like in my clutch. I am more worried about the GF who tends to ride it quite often.

I was going to ask the dealer if they would price match, if they actually had the items in stock. Since they don't stock clutch parts, it makes more sense to just go ahead an order online.

Paying $16 in shipping is cheaper than the 10% sales tax we pay in Louisiana.

LKQ's website doesn't show any clutch parts. I'm not sure I would want clutch components from a used car unless the mileage was only a few thousand miles. I might call them just for giggles, but the eBay price of $114 for a kit doesn't sound bad at all.

I emailed the eBay seller and below is their response. It sounds promising to me since they will let me return it if the parts don't fit.

    Dear Customer,

We don't have anything listed for a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage, according to our records they are not the same. If you have information that it is the same as the 2015 and want to try it, you can purchase it and return it for a refund if it doesn't fit, but the buyer will be responsible for return shipping.

    Best Regards

I would be surprised if they have any with more miles than yours.

You're the winner at manual transmission mileage. All we need now is an award.

I hit a deer with less than 3000 miles on my car. It wasn't totaled but would have been if they had been aware of all the supplemental damage that was found during the repair. I had purchased oil and a filter to do the first oil change and haven't even changed the oil once when this happened. This would have been a great car for donor parts had they totaled it out. The clutch probably wasn't even fully broken in yet. I would have considered buying it back for parts had it been totaled.

I assume you would want to use the flywheel and pressure plate from a car like this as well as the disc since they kinda wear into each other.

115 is a great price. But I wont be preordering it because I have only 10k miles

I already bought a case of oil because I found it such low priced. Then was going to pre-buy some tires to have on hand in case of a flat but decided sometimes I can be "too prepared" and never end up using the parts that I pre-bought.

Im about to change the wiper blades for the first time ever. 2 years I went with the factory ones

Never buy and store tires unless you know for a fact you will be using it soon. Believe it or not, tires have a shelf life and are unsafe after seven years of storage.
