USB Charger Station Mod

I added a USB charger station to my car.

I have mine mounted inside my arm rest between the walls. Sorry, no photos of the actual install.

Inside the arm rest, lift the bottom cover out. There are 4 screws under that. Undo the 4 screws and lift the arm rest out. Then take the 2 bottom screws out. Pry off the top molding and there are more hidden screws. I removed the front 2 screws to take the front panel apart and from there drilled a hole that the molding would cover the majority of the hole. This is the hole that the 2 USB wires will end up poking through. Feed the USB wires through and reassemble the arm rest.

I then took apart pieces of the center console and ran 2 wires from the arm rest to the cigarette lighter and spliced into the cigarette lighter harness. Then hooked up the power converter and reassembled the arm rest.

Works good for me. And it reaches the back seat easily.
