Holy smokes - good thing you had it checked out.

I believe parts are so expensive because Mitsubishi has only sold so many of these little guys here. Hopefully your body shop will get the parts you need.

I also find it interesting that you were able to drive it in this condition. I mean, too bad that this caused so much damage; not too shabby that it kept on ticking.

    Glad you're safe.

    Pictures!

Unless the frame rails are bent where the bumper rebar bolts on I'd consider fixing it yourself

Everything just unbolts on the front of these cars from the back of the headlights forward(except the frame rails). But parts are stupid expensive. I got a price for a headlight(base model halogen NOT led) and grille for a 17' my cost is $1000 from the dealer.
I am not sure if they are bent but no time for me to fix it myself. I could do it but I don't have spare car or want to spend out of pocket close to 2-4K just in parts. I looked around on prices and everything is obscenely expensive.

bumper cover 355, radiator 800, oil pan 205, radiator support 400.

would of been better to be totaled, lol

$800 for a radiator the size of a laptop that holds about 2 quarts?!? If there's one thing that's going to kill this car's reputation, it's the outrageous price of OEM parts and the lack of any aftermarket support. I hope this trend changes as more of these cars are sold.

I don't know if they're any good, but I see new replacement radiators on eBay for under $100.

I've used aftermarket(ADPI? I believe) rads in 1 or 2 cars mirages now. No problems to report.

2950 in damage from what they can see, could be more when they take things apart. Sad to say long term ownership wont be on my plate since the parts seem outrageous.

Man sorry to hear! Parts are the Achilles heel of this fine car it seems. Not good!
