I'd hate to see what Mitsubishi would have to pay to have that thing towed to the nearest Dealer for warranty work or what the owner would do about getting recalls completed. Not sure where in the Yukon he's located but Whitehorse is 1500kms(932 miles for ghee) 18hr drive from the nearest dealer in Grande Prairie.

That video is great. I'm actually shocked at how easily it started.

I had to look up where Yellowknife is. Do I have the right place? Wow that's up there!

The only reason I've heard of Yellowknife is from that show Ice Road Truckers...

There's not a lick of salt under the hood of that car or on the engine anywhere. It looks like it just left the factory. Do they not use salt up there?

Unlikely. Salt isn't very effective at melting snow/ice in temps below -10 C (approx.)

    They more likely use sand.

Definitely, either sand or gravel. Plus at -15C or colder the air is so dry that it turns any snow to basically powder.

I'm also surprised how well the car started in THAT cold of weather. It didn't seem much worse than when I started mine in -5 to -10F temps this winter.

For Ontario Niagara is considered to be in the banana belt. Only Windsor has temps that are generally milder than the Falls.

Although it will feel like -23F it will only be 0 tomorrow night.
