I got the order, thanks! I'm sure we can figure things out with you moving. Were you interested in the rectangular or circle / start button version?

I'm a little torn honestly, but I sent you a PM with a weird idea I had after mulling over which placement would be easier to reach. I didn't want to make an annoying request for a tweak out in the open after all the hard work you put into making this happen which is the only reason I'm not sharing my answer with everyone right now

I finished up the start button version of the cruise control kit this weekend. I really like the looks of it. I have yet to put it in the car, but that'll happen later today and I will get pictures.

    Looks great!

I think your new style made for the push button start spot looks great! As I was driving home tonight, I practiced reaching for that spot in the dark. Your hand just naturally goes to that spot as you reach under the turn signal, which makes sense (because the starter button would go there). In my opinion, it's a more natural spot to reach for than the traction control & the added bluetooth buttons area.

I emailed the service department of the dealership that I purchased my 2017 Mirage ES (manual), & I asked about the cost of installing cruise control. I did this about a week ago, because I was curious! They came back with $599. They have someone come in only in the mornings, and it would take a couple hours.

I've only owned my Mirage for about 5 months now. Do you predict any difference in the installation of cruise for a 2014-15 model verses a 2017-18 model?

I appreciate you creating and posting all this! It does look awesome!

Thanks Mark. I agree its a much more natural feel place as well as much more visible place vs rectangular slot. I am excited to try it out.

I do not foresee any differences between a 2014/15 install and a 2017+.

    Interesting!

That's the first I've heard of dealerships doing cruise installations. Question: is it an integrated approach like others have done here, or do they put in an aftermarket kit like a Rostra?

I almost forgot to post pictures of the new install (which works great btw).

    Popped out the blanking plate.

I haven't been driving much lately (laid off last Friday), but it really works a lot nicer/easier than the previous version IMO. Its a ton easier to see, and reaching for it is a lot more natural since you can see it. The turn signal indicator doesn't seem to get in the way which was a slight concern. So, I'm really liking it a lot.

So, these are for sale right now! You can buy them here.

Before you order parts, first check if the basic cabling is present. I checked my 2013 Space Star, and the connector on the brake switch has only 2 cables. So exchanging the switch won't be enough.

Very interesting. I wonder if this was only a 2013 thing, or a Netherlands thing?
