Thread: Don't forget your avatar! (Add a picture)

  1. #1

Cool Don't forget your avatar! (Add a picture)

I'd like to encourage posting members to add an avatar. The avatar is the little pic that shows up under your username when you post, eg...

    Mine:

(Shows my three little cars. Black = '98 1.0L Pontiac Firefly (Chevy Metro); Blue = '92 Metro converted to electric; Green = '00 Honda Insight 1.0L hybrid. I rotate through these: one or sometimes two licenced for use at a given time.)

How come I'm the only one with an avatar so far? They make it a little easier to see who's who when scanning a thread. And they personalize you a little bit. I noticed a few members have "profile" pics, but those don't show up with your forum posts.

They don't have to be auto-related. Have fun - whatever you like.

For your convenience (hint, hint), here's the link to add/edit your avatar (must be logged in):

Here's one possible reason why nobody has added an avatar just yet - we can't:

Not sure why, but I did try looking for a button other than "Don't use an avatar".

    OK, try now.

How come I'm the only one with an avatar so far?
... because the default setting in the forum admin didn't permit members to upload them, apparently. Strange.

Thanks again, Alpha. All makes sense now.
