    Windshield washer pump out already?!?!

    Not happy.

It did this last week and I figured the crappy stock fluid froze and sure enough it was working a couple days later when I tried it. Well it's fairly warm, 16F out tonight and it pumps but no fluid sprays out of either front nozzle or the rear and the fluid is not frozen in the tank.
Liked said, I can hear it pump when you try but nothing. Just like frozen fluid.

Guess I have to take it in under warranty.

Just because it's not frozen in the tank doesn't mean it's not frozen in the lines. I bet your pump is fine.

I wonder how the pump case holds up under freezing conditions. Do you think it suffered any damage - maybe cracked and split?

It's almost certainly frozen in the nozzles themselves or in the lines. The lesser volume of these areas will freeze solid while the larger volume of the tank is still fluid.
Put it someplace warm, get it spraying then change to winter fluid. Run pump until winter stuff clears the nozzles and all will be well.
    Will weld for beer.

I thought of that too. Will see. Either way any washer fluid should not freeze at 16 above. I put the good deicer stuff in but it's still probably only 15% that and 85 what came in the car.

The stuff that comes in the car is crap. It will freeze if you walk past with an ice cream cone. Like ichabod said, it's likely the nozzles froze up. I've had that happen to a few cars bought in the winter time. I'd drain the factory crap out and put in the actual winter washer fluid, adding de icer to a clogged line isn't gonna fix it if it's clogged 2' higher than the reservoir.

It's supposed to be 38-40 by the weekend. Guess I'll flush it and drain. I'll keep all posted.

Yeah, the fluid from the dealers are crap. My brother works at the dealer and he just refills my windshield fluid. Below -5F, that fluid freezes pretty quickly. Haven't had any issues yet. But I'm glad its getting above the single digits, finally.
