The stuff that comes in the car is crap. It will freeze if you walk past with an ice cream cone. Like ichabod said, it's likely the nozzles froze up. I've had that happen to a few cars bought in the winter time. I'd drain the factory crap out and put in the actual winter washer fluid, adding de icer to a clogged line isn't gonna fix it if it's clogged 2' higher than the reservoir.
