Bought my 99 Saturn brand new in November of 1998, and finally sold it in December of 2015. 17 years, 1 month, and 4 days. 160,966 miles. In Ohio, you can do a VIN search online to see where it was sold, miles, etc. It has changed hands twice since then, and as of a few months ago, at least, it had been sold from a muffler shop/car dealer at the south end of the city.

I plan to keep it for8 years then hopefully my daughter will keep it for another 5-7 years.

It will have comprehensive warranty coverage for 17 years or 320,000 kms, whichever comes first.

Ha - my first car was a 1964 Pontiac Catalina 4-door hardtop. What a boat!

I have owned my 2007 Toyota Yaris for going on 11 years now. That's the longest I've ever owned a vehicle by far. I hope to keep my Mirage for just as long. FYI, Prior to my Yaris, I'd never owned a vehicle longer than two years.

2005 Mazda3 for 10 yrs. 197k miles. Replaced many rusted-out parts, but an electrical problem did it in.
Resale value on mirage dictates trying to best that.

    14 years

Bought a 1990 Ford Festiva (designed by Mazda, built by KIA, sold by Ford) for $5300 brand new (14 miles on it) after a $1000 Ford rebate. Drove it until 2004.

Always changed my own oil and never it burned a drop of oil. Consistently got over 40 mpg with it's 1.3L, 4 cylinder, 64 hp engine, 5 speed manual. Comfortable to drive, great in snow with 145 SR 12 tires, super reliable. It was hard on mufflers for some reason. Purchase one life time muffler and received 7 free ones after that.

I regretted selling that car. My 2017 Mirage has filled that void in my life nicely!

Interestingly enough, the longest car I've owned was a 92' Galant VR4. I owned/drove it for 4 1/2 years (year round) throughout college. I still regret selling it. I wish I would have just kept it (sighs).

Anyways, planning on keeping the Mirage as a 'forever' car. 2 year anniversary coming this June. It already has 34,xxx miles on it!

23 years, my 1995 Tacoma. I just finished an extensive rebuild so it should be good for a while yet.
