    Which CVT Fluid?

Hi to all forum members from Turkey.

I have 2 questions regrding cvt fluid change?

    1) Is/Are there any filter/s which needs to be changed together with cvt fluid?

    2) In Turkey I can access some cvt fluids of Eneos, Liqui Moly and Motul all of which meet Mitsubishi CVT J4 Criteria.

Can I use safely one of the above mentioned brands or should i go to the authorised Mitsubishi service and use Mitsubishi Dia Queen Genuine J4 CVT fluid.

Which CVT fluid do you recommend?

Thanks for all your help and interest.

Have a look at this thread:

CVT Failure (at 304,000 km / 189k miles, delivery vehicle)

Forum member Fummins maintains a fleet of these cars used for delivery purposes and one had a bad CVT. In this thread both filters and lubricants are discussed, and it's a worthy read. I hope you find your answers there.

Let us know what you think and how things turn out for you.

Use whatever fluid meets the cvt j4 specs. There are 2 filters.

There's a normal one on the screen filter in the oil pan and a wide one on the cartridge filter. Here are a few filters I changed the other day. Attachment 11372 It's hard to believe Mitsubishi doesn't suggest replacing these filters.
Thanks Fummins and Eggman for your kind interest and help.

I don't want to take any risk; I think I will use the original Mitsubishi CVT Fluid

Here, i can find the Genuine Mitsubishi cvt J4 Fluid at local authorised services..
