Strange review. Who takes a stock Mirage CVT into the canyons to see how fun it is? Cars.com does, apparently.

You end up with a weird mix of pros & cons in this one.

    Overall:
With that powertrain, tiny 15-inch wheels and a propensity to sway from side to side when turning, one might think that the Mirage GT can't be fun to drive — but they'd be wrong. I think that some of the Mirage GT's foibles combine into a weirdly appealing experience that turned out to be in some ways, dare we say ... enjoyable.

Maybe I'll take it out to Malibu this weekend and copy the writers drive.

Mirages are fun to drive for the same reason go-karts are fun to drive. You may only be going 25 mph, but it feels and sounds like you are doing 100!

its more fun with coilovers! Lots of fun turning sharply on corners in a small car!

Adding the rear sway bar to my car made a WORLD of difference. It went from totally blah and no confidence in corners to a fun car that has soft suspension (nice for our roads here in Wisconsin), but confident in corners.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

I really need to get the rear sway bar and at least some decent lowering springs. The car feels amazing with 205-50-15 tires already.

    Pretty neat read.
