    New Spacestar in Europe

In today's paper there was a PR article about "the new Spacestar" as to be sold in Europe beginning February 2020.

According to that, it features an automatic emergency brake that recognizes pedestrians, a system to warn about leaving your lane/the road, and an automatic high-beam dimmer. It also has revised suspension and steering. There is also a new radio called the "entertainment centre".
Price starts at €10490, being roughly US$ 11500.

    EDIT A quick translation.

Facelift for the Mitsu Space Star: When the revised edition is for sale beginning Feb. 2020 at prices starting €10490, the car will have a new front with new headlights. As the manufacturer stated, the interior will have new features. As with the larger Mitsu models, the 3.875 metre long Space Star will feature an automatic emergency brake with pedestrian recognition, a leaving-lane warning system and a high-beam assistant.
    New Infotainment system
The most popular Mitsubishi model also has a new interior with an improved infotainment system, integrating smartphones plus a rear view camera. The only changes to the technology are revised suspension and steering. Under the hood are the 3-cylinder 1.0L with 52kW/71PS or 1.2L and 59kW/80PS.

Please note: The measurement methods for PS and hp differ according to markets and therefore resulting values will differ. The kW value should be more comparable.

That's some interesting news, foama. I suspect Mitsubishi Motors North America will have the new Mirage generation 6.2 available sometime next year, though I'm left wondering (if it does happen) will it be a 2020 or a 2021 model.

Here folks completely disregard what year model they call it. What counts is when a car was sold.

My German isn't very good, but I'm pretty sure that says 80 hp for the 1.2 L Mirage engine, and for the smaller 1.0 space star engine now 71 hp. Could be wrong on this one!

    Another +2 horsepower increase for the Mirage. That's a 9.25% increase to my 2014 Mirage's 74 hp.

They’ve had 80hp since 2016 in Germany. Maybe earlier too?

The Space Star on that newspaper photo looks more modest and less ugly than the photos in that Thai brochures. So there is hope.

The measurement methods for PS and hp differ according to markets. The same engine will be rated differently according to the particular measurement method. The kW value should be more comparable.
