Only explanation is that you've never really dome what you say. You utube the topic, and that's usually what you get.
You use a high boost turbo with a tremendous lag on a mirage, and you make the experience much worse, or worse yet, risk exploding the engine.

A mirage needs a small turbo, giving it mostly more torque than HP.

I think he's saying in general, as a rule it's more, which he would be correct. If you double the atmosphere you double power minus frictional and heat loss, but in most cases it's much closer to 100% than 50%. I document all of this on my youtube channel so you can fact-check me from my own published videos.

At 15psi i'm doing 181Hp at the wheels or about 208Hp at the crank from a 74hp engine. Not everyone will achieve that result but it's not that hard if you're an engine builder...
