If you press the red button on your key fob the horn sounds and lights flash until you hit it again.
If the horn isn't sounding then it's broken.

Hello Nudelsose. Please forgive our misunderstanding with our different languages. We have some members from Germany who maybe hopefully can help overcome any such problem.

It might be helpful to get more information on your problem, such as what exactly is wrong? Is the horn sounding when you lock the car and you don't want this to happen? Or, is the horn not sounding when you lock your car and you want it to sound? I don't understand.

It is my understanding that the Mirage security & anti-theft system can be re-configured. The instructions can be found in the Owner's Manual. The feature I am referring to is called the Answerback function in the English language Owner's Manual for the U.S. market and can be found in section 5.

    Answerback function
The horn of the keyless entry system answerback function can be changed as required. This is done with the key removed from the ignition switch.

    Note
    • The answerback function will not operate if any of the doors are open.

    Horn deactivation/reactivation
The answerback function can be set in the following three ways.
Each time the answerback function is set, a chime will sound to tell you the condition of the answerback function.

One chime: The horn will not sound.
Two chimes: The horn will sound.
Four chimes: The horn will sound if the LOCK button is pressed twice within 1 second.

    1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
    2. Open the driver’s door and turn the combination headlights and dimmer switch to the “OFF” position.
    3. Press the LOCK button (1) for 4 to 10 seconds and press the UNLOCK button (2) during this time.
    4. Release in sequence the UNLOCK and LOCK buttons within 10 seconds of pressing the UNLOCK button in step 3.
Please let us know if this helps.

    Thank you for answer.

I mean the anti theft system.

I will explain it with my lancer. There i have activate the anti theft system.

When i park my lancer and close it, 30 sec a beep is hear inside, then the Alarmsystem is active. When anybody without the key is opening the Car than the Horns cirp and the Sidemarkers flash. It only stops when i press a button on my key.

Same i want to Mirage. But when i activate it, he beep for 30 seconds inside and the system is activate. When then the car is open without key it only beep inside of the Car and the Sidemarkes Flash. But Horn didnt cirp.

Hope i can explain it to understand =)

    Sorry for bad English
