    Mirage & G4 rebates / deals / incentives -- what are you seeing?

    We've had a couple of threads about specific deals in the past. I thought it would be good to start a thread where we can track specific deals on the cars that people are seeing from Mitsu or from individual dealers.

    (Note: If you're posting dealer advertised prices, try to indicate whether the advertised price is from "stacked" incentives -- eg. to military members, existing Mitsubishi owners, 'conquest' competition owners, graduates, etc. etc. etc. It's a sneaky way of promoting a super low price that virtually nobody will actually qualify for when you read the fine print.)

    ===

    Past deals:

    The most generous factory rebate we've seen so far in the US was during the blow-out of the 2015 models, when there was a $3500 manufacturer rebate (before any additional dealer discounts). That one has its own thread:US: $3500 factory rebate on 2015 Mirages ... 2017 arrives soon

    The next biggest factory rebate I've seen was last summer:
    $1500 Mirage & $2000 G4 factory rebates (July 2017)

    ===

    Recent deals:

    I've been keeping an eye on the U.S. rebates page... It was steady at $1k off the 2017/18 hatch and $2k off the 2017 sedan ($1k off the '18) for quite a while. But I noticed today they dropped the 2017's from the specials page:

    https://www.mitsubishicars.com/special-offers

    What does that mean? I doubt the 2017's are all sold.

    Do you suppose it is in response to the good sales numbers from last month?

    Hm..

    I still think last month's bump was due to to fleet sales.

    Maybe they sold a pile of leftover 2017's to fleets to clear them out, thus no more need for the 2017-specific discounts.

    They're really throwing out some awesome deals at my local dealer. Looks like they're trying to get these out soon. I live within 5 miles of the dealer and I always see a Mirage on the road as well.

    Yeah, all possible rebates stacked? That would apply to a small percentage of potential buyers!

    I saw an online ad for $99/month deal on new base Mirages in TX. I didn't click it -- probably the same situation.

    I keep thinking we should have a "Mirage deals/rebates" thread....

    White Bear lists the price @ what everyone can buy the car at. Anyone can get it @ $9999. The rebates you may be entitled to are added below that price. $9999 would be the most you would pay. It could be a lot less.

    The Mirage of a Price

    Yes though it is annoying that in Ontario Canada when the Mirage first came out early 2014 anyway the price was $12,400 base model, plus mandatory shipping (1450) and taxes (13%) of course. Then in 2015 I think that same $9999 promo came to Canada so I missed it unfortunately

    Admin note: started this new thread to track rebates/deals.

    dspace9 - agreed. That kind of sucks to have bought just before the Canadian price war started.

    Chevy Spark owners faced the same situation you did: the base Spark price was also around 12.5k just before the new model came out, and GM decided to compete head-on with the $9998 Micra MSRP.

    I just bought my 2018 Mirage GT for $13209 before taxes and fees at Interstate Mitsubishi in Erie PA. The MSRP was $17625 I believe. I emailed them ahead of time and they agreed to beat another dealers price to get my business. I was also able to negotiate $1500 more than the blue book value for my trade. I realized that they also included the accessory wheel locks for free. I travelled 250 miles to Interstate because the central PA dealerships want $2500 more for the same car.
