Turbo Mirage sedan rumor (coming to North America?)

In the article it says they might bring the Attrage here, but with a turbo engine! Even the comments in the article seem to be in favor of it!

"US people might require more acceleration. So we are not sure if [the sedan] has marketability or not." If acceleration is a problem, Mitsubishi says it is exploring the use of a downsized turbocharged version of the engine.

Mitsubishi North America manager of product planning Bryan Arnett says he would like to see a slightly edgier Mirage -- perhaps with tighter suspension and a few extra horsepower courtesy of a turbocharger

It would be pretty cool to see the 1.0L come here with a small turbo putting out 100+ hp (130 like Ford's 1.0L ecoboost would be great). That would make for a very fun car.

It seems that Thailand loves small sedans.
the Mitsubishi Attrage, the sedan version of the Mirage, which has its sole manufacturing plant in the world in Thailand, is off to a great start with just under 3,000 sales and 19.3% share. That’s already more than double the sales of the Mirage.
    POS Model August %
    1 Suzuki Swift 4,001 26.3%
    2 Nissan Almera 3,413 22.5%
    3 Mitsubishi Attrage 2,928 19.3%
    4 Honda Brio Amaze 1,986 13.1%
    5 Mitsubishi Mirage 1,415 9.3%
    6 Nissan Micra 1,073 7.1%

That is very cool. Glad to see it going well for Mitsu.

Wish they could have moved this to the US for the 2014 model... hate to wait a year and find out it isnt happening! I love sedans, but with a car this small I might not be too upset getting the hatch.

That's the key - I'm not sure why someone would go for the sedan in an A-segment sized car (well, Mirage sort of straddles A/B).

At the Seattle Auto Show (going on now) a Mitsubishi rep gives a possible date for the sedan...

Mitsubishi is looking into a sedan version of this car for 2015
That would mean sedans arriving about a year from now.

Quote is from the 2:55 point in this video...

I believe the Sedans need to come sooner. Hatchbacks are OK, but Sedans are more practical in some other ways.

Why did this woman didn't like the color names? I voted for them.
