After about a week with my Yaris/Mirage armrest here are some thoughts..

Sits a bit far back for where I have my seat set for comfort but can be very helpful getting in and out and if I'm leaning a bit. Will be great for a passenger.

The best thing about it? The extra storage and the "hidden" compartment under the false bottom. Can store things I only use in the car on rare occasions, ie; tire gauge, flashlight, etc.

Before I discovered this discussion, I purchased this from AliExpress: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6215860128.html

The mounting is more specific to the Mirage than the other armrests discussed in this thread. Though I like it very much, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase, it does have a bit of a cheap feel to it. And as mentioned previously in this thread, when mounted there is a wobble due to the designed loose fitting counsel of the Mirage. I'd be ideal to resolve that, but it's not a bid thing to deal with as is.

I ended up with this one by accident when they sent me the wrong one. I used a piece of old intercooler rubber I had from my eclipse and fashioned it so that it allowed it to wedge into place.

Maybe they changed something to get it very stable. I got my armrest with an option pack installed and I do not get movement on the armrest. When I put pressure with my weight on it yes then I see minimal movemement with the OEM armrest.

the armrest is fixed with 4 screws.

    Not yet.
I'm looking for a pair of smoke shields that go over the window, that way water wouldn't come in the car when it's raining, sometimes I like putting a small crack for fresh air, anyone know where to get a pir.
