Can't get out of back seat

My son sat behind me when we headed for lunch. Upon arrival he couldn't get out of the car. The inside door handle does not work. So off to the dealer for this now 😊.
This car is proving less reliable than previous Mirage.

    Will weld for beer.

Yeah, double check the child-proof setting first.

Some dealers are such jerks they will charge you $120 "diagnostic fee" or "service fee" even if its a minor thing so be absolutely sure

Don't believe it's child locks as the pass side door opens while driver side does not.
Does this car have child locks?
Have to pull the manual out.

Yes.. both rear doors have locks on them. They work independently of each other.

How does a child safety lock make a car unreliable?

    It doesn't.
When I thought car was broken again it was deemed unreliable..
Now that I know about the child locks and have verified the issue is me, I am deemed unreliable.

A car is only as reliable as its owner/mechanic.

That's the wonderful thing about this forum. We can put things out there, & sometimes others come up with the simplest solutions. Plus, now you know your child safety locks work!

    That's a good point, Mark. I don't think I've ever tried mine.

IchabodCrane, I'm glad you brought this up. Thanks.
