    Unicode Support on Display Audio

Is there any way I can get unicode support (non-English character) support on the stock display audio unit? I have a lot of music where the title of the song/album or artist is Japanese.

They sell these cars in Asia, so my guess is that it must be supported somehow - even if it means flashing to a different firmware.

Also, is there any way to change the color of the background?

There's gotta be a way. What way I'm not sure... There should be software to be able to go into the audio settings and change everything from the background to what's displayed... Like going into ETACS to change and turn on functions... someone with better knowledge would be able to help you better.

The ETACS controller doesn't directly interface with the radio in that way. I have some Japanese tracks on a USB stick... I'll have to go see what they do on the various headunits I have around here. I'm almost sure the fancier Apple CarPlay/Android auto unit shows Japanese characters but I can't remember off the top of my head.
