Another new owner from Socal :D

Hey was up guys. I just got my 5 speed mirage ES. Ive owned multiple different mitsus for a while eclipses/lasers and even some mirages/ colts. I always have a soft spot for mitsus in my heart. I loved my old 89 colt. Saved me great gas and once i heard finally mitsu was going to bring back a hatch I knew I had to own one.

With my old mirage/colt going about 65mph felt like that was the cars top speed. I went in expecting a slow car but honestly its faster than I expected. 70/80 mph with no issue but i usually cruise at 70. At the moment i have logged in 200 miles with mixed city and highway. Getting around 47mpg.

    Hey, welcome!

Then I take it this is your first 3-cylinder? What was your previous car, or do you still have another Mitsu on the side?

    Darin

yes it is my first 3 cylinder. I had a 99 eclipse spyder gst but the gas wasn't very fun. I love the 4g63t platform but I needed something more fuel efficient. Down the road I might pick up a 89 colt gt with the 4g61t. At the moment loving the mpgs. The car has body roll and the skinny tires can be a bit wider but im a happy camper. No complaints here. I love all the negative feedback this car gets are usually people who haven't even test driven the car. Anyone wanting to save gas I encourage them to test drive the car.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new car.

Ultra racing does make a rear sway bar for the Mirage. The few people that have it say it really helps with the body roll.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

    Welcome.
I am surprised at the number of manual cars being bought in the USA and coming on to this forum as it seemed mitsu did not expect to sell many in manual form. I wonder if this trend is the same for people that are not on this forum?.

    Cheers
