Sound like that would work nicely PUDG3.

What about making an adapter plate for the OEM exhaust manifold? IMO the lengths some people go to buy a 'turbo manifold' are kind of ridiculous. Unless you're building a drag/race car, an OEM manifold with adapter plate will do just fine.

I take it you haven't heard back from the youtube guy Darin?

This makes me sad, I wanted to be the first to turbo. :P

I'm also going a different route and avoiding any sort of manifold or intercooler. It's all about efficiency, keeping the weight down, and not spending a lot of money.

Yeah, this has been posted up before.
Fingers crossed as to Speedlab creating a turbo kit for the mirage.

Its only a matter of time before we have a bunch more on the road. The Mirage would be a killer sleeper, and with as light as it is, you really don't need to make crazy horsepower to have tons of fun. 130-150 hp would be an absolute blast along with a nice suspension setup. Plus, you would still probably get some great fuel economy haha.

I hope to get triple figures. That's all it would need. 100hp and 100nm of torque. The way it is geared would be hard to beat. Off the line if I catch someone off guard I can keep up nicely. Plus the "psst" noise from the blow off valve would be awesome

Daox, interesting to see how the turbo would sit on the current manifold with an adapter plate.
Considering it goes straight to the cat. You'd have to either delete the cat or move it further down the exhaust.
Delete is tempting! Mirage popping flames would be epic

Most cars have the CAT right after the exhaust manifold these days. I'd simply move it down a bit after the turbo.

Can always gut the cat, or run a fake one.
I regularly go on car cruises with a R33 skyline that spits flames, his cat is gutted.
