    Hello all

We had many Colts , Champs , and a Summit sedan . Ranging from '80 > '91 . Costing from $125 ( used ) > $12,000 ( new ) . May purchase one . We did test drive a Plasma Purple ES with the C.V.T.. I felt that the car had plenty of pickup when needed . Took it on an interstate and had no problem keeping up . Did hear wind noise at high speeds . The steering was vague , but did get used to it in a short 20 minute test drive . Would like to try the 5 speed manual and another C.V.T.. Did mange to get M.P.G. up to 35 . Our favorite Mitsubishi was a tan '81 Plymouth Champ 2 door with the 1.6 ltr. and the twin stick ( Economy + Power Mode ) . Also had a roof rack . Bought it for under $200 with less than 90,000 (?) . The body and interior were in very good condition . Had to put it down at 130,000+ miles . It wasn't the motor , the body rotted out .

    Welcome, cinder.

I drove a twin-stick Mitsubishi once. Neat machine. Too bad they don't offer that anymore! That would solve the problem between drivers who want acceleration/power and those who want fuel economy.

Let us know what you think of the 5-speed. I was pleasantly surprised by the Mirage's CVT, though I prefer a manual myself.
