    Cool Vintage Mirage Poster

In the attached image is a poster that I bought off of eBay a year ago. Looks to be a first gen 1978ish Mirage from the little amount of research I did. Pretty cool poster, its extremely fragile and feels very old. It could actually be a poster from the late 70s or 80s for all I know.

I have been wanting to get it framed since I got it, but custom frames are kinda expensive. I got a quote from hobby lobby which has been the best price so far, but is about 100 something dollars. I think I would rather get it done by someone that is not working a minimum wage job for a big corporation. Not saying I think they would do a horrible job and mess up the poster but when you are dealing with some paper that could be close to 40 years old, not sure if I want to risk it.

I still have no clue where this poster originated from but it was sold by some eBay seller that just sells antique and vintage items. They are located out of LA county, maybe the poster first originated from the southern California area? I mean just look at the thing, it is clearly taken place in southern California.

Nice poster! Those things were called "Mitsubishi Colt" (model A150) over here. They would be somewhere between 35 and 45 years old now. They had a very peculiar gearbox. Four forward gears, plus two different differential ratios you had an additional lever for. It was labeled "economy / sport". In the endeffect you could practically call it a five speed gearbox.
They were highly reliable, economical, and much sought after.
