This should catalogue as the block heater for the 4cyl lancer motor. This is what fits..
I plugged it in with my Kill A Watt and it runs at 375 - 380 watts.
My dealer wants $80.00 Can. For one.
    Thanks for the info!

    Questions:
    A) Is the block heater only for 115VAC? (Most of the world has 230 or 240Volts)
    B) Did I understand it right, the heater heats the block directly to which it is attached, rather than heat the coolant?
    C) Could you please post a photo? (the photo link doesn't work)

Good question. It would have a different plug on the end of the power cord, for sure. Have you checked about this with your dealership? It would be good to know about Euro parts as well.

Here's a video and ebay link

I'd verify the part no./contact them to see if it would fit... before buying from them.

The block heater (part# MZ314528 is 115 volt only. Standard N.American plug.
due to angles and clearance issues can't get a decent pic. Sorry.
    Will weld for beer.

Sorry guys.. Had some trouble accessing/staying logged in the forum last night, a lot of my post is missing....
    Here's the missing stuff..
The block heater cord unplugs from the unit so it may be that in different countries a different cord would be supplied. You should check with the local dealership.
Also, the "drop in" installation concept is truly brilliant for the Diy'er as there is no mess to clean up.

When I cross referenced the number I got cartridge type (4x5/8 round metal rod looking thing). Is that what you've got? Where does it insert on the engine? I looked but couldn't see the attachment point. Thanks.

I haven't had time to check underneath the hood much but I will add an OE cartridge type block heater along with a "wolverine" type flexible self adhesive pad heater to warm the CVT if it has a fairly flat area for mounting, I used this combination on my smart fortwo with good results.
