I think that's the correct clip. You should also claw on top of ventilation panel and pull it toward you.

So I must pry open the instrument panel, isn't it ?
I tried to do that, but I'm afraid to crack or damage something, the panel is really stiff.

Yes, that's really stubborn to open. I plan to change the head unit tomorrow or the day after. If i can, i'll take photos for you.

oh yes please I (and many others) will need this, thanks a lot. I especially interested on how to pry this panel open safely.

I also plan to change my head unit soon, and I want to DIY-ing it myself to save money.
I have a plan to buy this frame: https://www.tokopedia.com/sjm22/fram...subishi-mirage
It'll be put on hold, until I can figure out how to open the instrument panel first

And.. one more surprising thing, I'm live in Malang too (Kec. Blimbing). It's really weird that I got replies from fellow Malangese in an international forum such as this.

Be sure to document how it all turns out and post it up here on the form so we all can see.

It was especially difficult to pop the clips out the first time. Definitely start at the top with the trim piece around the vent before trying to remove the radio. I think what worked for me was a combination of working the clips and gentle pulling from the front. Clips are marked with green X's in the picture here.

Yeah, sure we can. If I still had problem with head unit removal, I'll definitely find a help.
Jalan Siam? Never heard of it. I Google-ed it, I found it near the prison, is that correct ? If it is indeed Rp 350k, then I'll buy one today, since the cheapest that I could find in Malang was Rp 600k at Megah Variasi Mobil

And what's your head unit replacement? Pioneer, Kenwood, or others?

Do you mind to explain how to `working the clip`? I tried to push and pinch it from behind with my fingers as hard as I can, the clip is really solid, it doesn't even move.

Yeah, from prison take the left turn after toko Ogan (before small bridge), jalan Riam is the third or fourth on the left.
I'll replace it with Kenwood DDX7017BT, pre-ordered it since last month.
