I'm not sure if the guy just forgot or if he was really that dumb not to even check. I've had some not so epic moments myself, but not that dumb. I'll post my latest fail on the a different thread.

Figured I'd update here again. Our highest mileage car hit 266000kms 165000miles today. Still the original engine and CVT. The only parts that have been changed are the front brake pads a few times, air filters, spark plugs once, front cat converter, tires, serp belt, dome light bulb, and maybe a headlight or 2. Changed the cvt fluid only once so far, should probably do that again soon. Car uses 1/2 a liter of oil every 6000kms. I change the oil every 12000kms. I'll admit I was skeptical as to how long these cars would last but they're very reliable! I'm probably gonna have to look for part time work once they replace the rest of the fleet with these cars cause I really only have to do routine maintenance to the Mirage's. They don't break down!

I would change the CVT fluid every 30k miles if I was you. I was changing my engine oil (0W20) every 7—8k miles.

Thanks for the update. These cars are a very good value...

Early 90's mazda b2200's . There are still a dozen or so on the road but they're probably going to be replaced by Nissan NV200's and some more Mirage's.

One had almost made it to a million before it was taken out of service. Highest one now has around 750000, the drivetrain has been changed a few times at least.
