Also what's the story on this "valve adjustment". I've never heard of a recommended service asking somebody to do that. I don't like the idea of that...what gives? (I am looking to get a G4 with manual transmission and come here to see how well the car is put together.) thank you!
Every owners manual I have ever looked at has a ''Inspect Valves and Adjust as Necessary'' maintenance line item at some mileage or another. Unless you have good reason to actually measure valve clearance it is a non issue in modern engines.

Exactly right. Valve clearance specs are offered in the FSM for the purpose of rebuilding the motor, and valve lash checking procedures are given just in case the valve train becomes particularly noisy. Otherwise, don't worry about adjusting them.

Cool. That's good news. I am looking at my "local"(45 miles or so away) mitsu dealer now...they don't have any manual mirage's right now. I might mention if they receive a G4 with a manual....I'll come drive it....we'll see!

Look back a few posts. I’ve got a car at work with over 200,000miles already. The engine has never been opened up and runs fine.

Is it to difficult if you post km, to list miles and vice versa? Then the reader doesn't have to look it up.

Let's see if we can shorten that.

    Here's a converter from a search engine that doesn't track it's users:

DuckDuckGo Converter - kilometers to miles

Simply enter the amount of units you have.

As with Google's converter, the units of measurement can be changed.

    Here's a link to Google's converter:

    Best wishes,

    thanks...
usually when I come here it's after working a 65 hour work week late at night before bed. I have all to do to keep my eyes open while I'm on the site...so if I must know, I'll do the math! Thanks for posting the converter! And good luck with your mirage!
