    Drat, and double drat!

So then.... What about this? I used to have a Japanese Import mitsubishi that wasn't quite OBD-II compliant and this ( with their cable) worked a treat. I could log all sorts of engine parameters.

You can use that to read the engine parameter, but you will never able to "touch" the etacs

    Details? I found http://www.johngold.nl

Which unit does our little car use? How do you set it up? And can the unwashed masses on the other side of the pond get one?

Wouldn't ECUFlash do it - for writing to the ECU at least? Mind you, we'd need to know what security/protocols Mitsu have used on the ECU (if any).

As for ETACS, um yeah, you're quite right.... In fact some early openport cables with pin 9 still attached have been known to burn out the ETACs modules on some EVOs, so we'd need to be careful. You can now buy cables with pin 9 not present (or use a set of pliers to remove it)... See here for thread of woe:

Haha! You made my day. But on John Gold, I looked at their website (also in English and German). They seem to be very international, so I think it is no problem to deliver to the USA. Why not? You could even mail them (e-mail is on the contact page) to ask.

Dealer installed it for me on delivery, so my car came equipped and dealer warranties it. CM4 cruise stick but will work with all command modules.
I have the GC90C can bus cruise control unit installed.
