    What this Engine Plug For?

I know that the plug on left is to drain coolant but what is the one on the right for? Look like it's leaking or accumulating oil coming from farther up

It's the plug to drain the coolant from the engine block. You can read about it here.

I’ve seen a couple cars that look like that too. I figured I was just a spilly talker when doing an oil change or it’s just residue that drips down off the dipstick when checking oil. I cleaned it up and haven’t noticed any real leaks.

That plug on the right is where the timing chain tensioner is. I don’t know why it’s there though.it doesn’t look like the tensioner touches it. I’ll try to post a different angle

Oh yeah, sorry. I mistook the boss as the left plug & the blue circle as the one in question. I really didn't see the orange pointer. Ignore my previous post. I'll try harder next time. I promise

Now that I give it a second look, I'd gotten confused myself too ))
