Discount Tire says these Ohtsu tires will fit the Mirage and for this price and a wider tire I think I will try them out!
Ohtsu is a Falken brand.

Empty to full in $12 flat.
I plan on going 175/65/14 wider is better if your after performance but I'm after MPG how ever all 3 including Factory 165/65/14 are so close in size shouldn't make a huge difference. I do agree Factory tire has no selection and value. 40k mile tire I normally don't buy.. 60k plus tires for me.
What are your goals...
Least expensive tire? Best fuel economy? Better performance? Longer treadlife?
For $44 per tire, you can't go wrong unless these things hurt your fuel economy substantially. These don't appear to be low rolling resistance tires. That would be a deal-breaker for me because my highest priority is fuel economy.

I looked at the Ohtsus during my tire search last year. I ended up go with the Toyo Extensa A/S in 185/60-14. I might have lost a couple MPG, but they're so much better than the Enasaves in every other way.
If I can't find any more take-off Enasaves when my second set wears out, I am probably going to go with 175/65 Michelin Defenders. A bit cheaper than the stock Dunlops, LRR, and they actually have a 90k treadlife warranty!
Sears has them for $89 each right now.

@angrybeaver - is one of the ways the Toyos are better road noise? Fuel economy is a high priority for me, but the Mirage is so noisey on Oregon roads (big aggregate) that I might give up a mile or two per gallon for some highway quiet. But I've gotta say, those stock tires roll better that any other I've ever experienced. The Mirage can coast a very long way. I plan to mount some Blizzaks this fall and it will be interesting to see what those do to the milage. My experience is that a good set of snow tires on a two wheel drive car beats all wheel drive with summer or bad all season tires. My 2WD car climbed a hill better than a Jeep Cherokee last winter.
Road noise is still high, maybe a little more than stock due to the wider tire. I was honestly looking for better grip in all seasons and better tread wear than what I was experiencing with the Enasaves.
I'm going with these tires next

Falken sincera 175-65
$44 each plus $22 each for lifetime balance rotate road hazard and disposal.
$264 + tax out the door for 80k tires not too bad.

Those are identical to some Falkens that were discontinued: https://www.amazon.com/Falken-ZIEX-ZE-912-All-Season-Tire/dp/B004QL5YTG
I'm considering these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....autoModClar=ES
