    Cooling Fan Came Apart

I was wondering why my A /C was not cooling at stops and at idle. Looks like my cooling fan came off the motor shaft. Good thing it never overheated on me. Looking for a new fan for my 2017 manual, but Amazon and RockAuto only have listing for CVT and I think the difference is the electrical connector. Anyone have a source for a new one before I call the dealer or a junkyard Tuesday?

The radiators are different sizes between the CVT and 5 speed. Im unsure if the fans are different but if they are i doubt the electrical connector would be different?

The fans are only $95 on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193303531528

I haven’t bought a new one yet but know that the plugs are different between 2015 and 2017 fans. 17 have a 2 wire plug and 15 has 4. That’s for cvt cars though but I assume the 5 speed cars probably changed between years as well?

I had the same thing happen to one of my 2015's that was a 5 speed car.

That ebay link looks like a blower motor. Isn't Johnny talking about his condenser/rad fan?

I believe that is the radiator fan, notice the electrical connector on the side and not bottom? Notice the shaft with the bolt coming out the middle? our blower motor doesn't have a shaft with a bolt coming down the middle.

Looking at it quickly on a smartphone it looks like the blower motor. But when enlarged I can see the differences you mention.

I'd go with a 2017-2020 if you want a for sure direct complete replacement.

Looking at the part numbers on a Mitsu parts site shows the shrouds being different between cvt and 5speed but they seem to fit all years. The fan motor itself seems to be a 2017 and newer thing. I'm not sure if the 2017 and newer fan blades and motors are the same between 5spd and cvt models?

They list different part numbers for the fan and motor in 2014-2015 for the cvt and mt models but in 2017 I only see one option for the fan motor that doesn't specify mt or cvt. The only fan listed says manual transmission. So I'm not sure if if the motors and fan blades are the same for 2017 cvt and 5spd and the only difference is the shrouds?

Dealer wanted over $300 for it. The junkyard wants $225 for a used one. The link above is just the motor, I need the entire unit. Found one at partsgeek for $142 so I ordered it. Thanks.
