Last August I bought a new 2015 Mirage DE. I was consistently getting 40+ MPG until a drunk driver hit me an totaled it. I wanted the same exact car as a replacement and found a new 2015 Mirage ES which came with an upgraded stereo and cruise control ( which I never use) Other differences are wheels, the new ones are aluminum I think the old ones were plastic covers.. Other than that its exactly the same car but im barely getting 35 mpg consistently. I drive 600 miles a week 99 percent freeway driving. I do of course get better mileage driving down from 4000ft on the mountain then I do on the way back up but the average going uphill seems to be way worse than the other car. Something feels different with the transmission. It runs at higher rpms longer on the uphill than the other car did. Granted its only an additionl 20 or 30 bucks a month in gas but its incredibly annoying.
