Good day,
I was cleaning my mitsumi and removed the seat cover, now when it was time to remove the back seat cover i removed the back seat and noticed some markings that something burnt the foam underneath. anyone noticed it? here are the pics.

Hmm..
Where is the exhaust located, right under this part? Or is it the tank?
I'm not sure..
Or do you carry warm heavy good on your backseat?
everything is in stock underneath. i dont know why but anyone has this also? because if not ill have it checked at the dealer.

If that was really a burn mark, that would be big trouble. Although it really looks like burn marks. The fuel tank is directly under that part. (The large lid with the three screws is where the fuel pump "module" is to be accessed)
Then what the heck is it? After trying to make sense of it I came to the conclusion that it has to be tar rubbing off of that silver painted (sound deadening?)patch opposite side from the fuel pump access hole. (right side on the first picture)
It's got to be rubbing through to the foam from maybe weight from people or goods carried on the back seat.
Well,that's my theory anyways!

I've had the seat out of mine for months so I can haul more yard sale junk. Mine has an identical stain, not quite as big, but it would probably be the same had I left the seat in the car. I was going to speculate it was exhaust heat related, but fairly sure it's on the other side (left-drivers). I rarely haul any significant weight in mine, passengers were rare until I removed the seat.

im not sure as to what is that patch there. it has left and right. from the right the marks are just light unlike on the left side. Why would you say it would be in big trouble? do i have to bring this now with the dealer? is there any remedy for this or much better to have the dealer sort it out?

but if its only rubbing from the patch to the foam it wouldnt just burn a spot as seen in the picture. it should only show the same thing that looks to be stain from the patch.
ill get a closer picture once i have the DSLR cam to focus.
