If those are factory wheels, I haven't seen them on a Mirage yet. They look good too.
Yeah, someone (with Mitsubishi alloy rims) mentioned they wanted to upgrade to different wheels some day, and I thought to myself they must be NUTS!

I think Mitsubishi puts nice looking alloy rims on their vehicles, & that includes the SUV models. Aftermarket would be a downgrade in my mind, but I'm cheap. That's why I have steel rims with cheap looking plastic wheel covers!

Not really! I only buy manuals (except for the 2017 SE manual), & manuals come with black steel rims.

Installed the OEM arm rest in my 23 mirage. Wasn’t hard at all, but Mitsubishi instructions kinda suck. Luckily there is a video on YouTube showing the process. The commute will be a lot more comfy now

Pics are taken with my iPhone. Not sure why they post at a different angle.

Just curious - can you rest your right elbow on the arm rest and wrap your hand around the steering wheel at the same time?

I LOVE taking corners in the Mirage. And U-turns.

I can only barely wrap my four fingers around the bottom part of the steering wheel around the 4 or 5 o'clock position and that’s with my elbow at the edge of the armrest. But I drive with my left hand anyways.

I've opined I'd rather have Konig wheels over my Mits alloys any day. Not to mention the Konigs are much wider for 185/55 aspect tires. Since age destroyed my 185/55 tires I now have wider rims free to use. I might just spring for the tires and use my older alloy wheels. I don't think my stock Mits alloys are any good for 185/55 aspect tires.

5" wide rims (for 155-185 mm tires) are about perfect for a Mirage, but 5" aftermarket rims are not very common.

When it comes factory stock, Mitsubishi sucks!

American cars (Mirage/G4) should come with -

    14" x 5" rims with 175/65r14 tires (a very common 23" diameter tire size)

    or

    15" x 5" rims with 185/55r15 tires (a very common 23" diameter tire size)

I have a pair of 14" x 5" factory steel rims (taken off of Dirk's first 2017 G4). They should all be 5" (most are 4.5"), but we don't really need much more than that.

My 2000 Honda CR-V had 6" wide rims, and my current 2011 Forester has 6.5" wide rims with 215/65r16 tires. A Mirage surely wouldn't benefit from having rims that wide!

I have short lil arms, so I installed a 4" shifter extension so I can lean all the way back and shift comfortably at all times. The threading is M10x1.25 if anyone was curious.

I love it so far. The hand-to-wheel travel is a lot less now and I can shift more comfortably. Mission accomplished.

I also added red die-cuts to the steering wheel to match the interior theme better.

The best fuel efficiency ever, on my 65 km commute from work. Hardly any traffic, lots of coasting down hills (in neutral), average speed slower than speed limit. AC on the whole way

    3.7 L/100 km

    (apologies for the sideways picture)

Learned how to remove the jack stand located underneath the seat in case I get a flat tire. The direction from the owner manual was not 100% clear at first. Then I re-read it and again slowly and eventually got it removed. Yes, reading is hard.
